We held a two-day symposium, with both hands-on workshops on various topics, and time for research presentations from work in progress.   The workshops occurred in our computer labs, with software licenses available for use.  (For those who had not ever used image segmentation and object classification software, we held a one-day workshop on Definiens Professional 5.0 software on June 6.) At the end of the second day, we had a working group discussion on special issues and future directions.
