Data Storage
The GIIF offers several options for data storage for your small individual work, large grant or multi-lab projects, and course offerings.
- Data storage for an individual
If you are a regular GIIF user, you can store your geospatial project data on our servers for easy access when you are working in the GIIF.
- Data storage for grant of multi-lab projects
Projects under a grant or worked on by several labs usually require more services, including the security of regular back-ups and data recovery options.
- Course offerings
Courses or meetings that are taught in either 111 or 124 Mulford can choose to store relevant data on our servers for easy access by the instructors and students. Data can be stored for the timeframe of the class meetings, as well as after the conclusion of the class for an agreed-upon time (in order to make data available to students to copy for their own use, finish up projects, etc.)
All data storage questions should be directed to GIIF personnel.
